The 60s Invasion

60s Band from Blue Point, NY - Will travel up to 100 miles

The 60s Invasion has been twice voted best cover band by legions of Long Island fans in the LI Press - Bethpage Federal Credit Union "Best of Long Island" Competition (2015 & 2016). We are a 7 member band fronted by three lead singers, founding members Joseph Felicetta and Bob Arndts, and Adele Cangeleri. The musicians include Long Island music scene veterans - Glenn Vita on Keyboards, Bruce Dickson on Drums, Steve Gestone on Guitar and Vic Fusco on bass.

Our mission is to play a wide variety of music from what we believe to be the greatest era of Rock & Roll, if not one of the greatest periods ever for pop music in American culture. The 60s were a time of experimentation and a wide variety os music was played on the top 40 charts. On any given week, your radio would be mixing up hits by standard bearers such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, and Sammy Davis Jr, with simple teen-age sentiments by vocal groups like the The Shirelles, Duprees, the Crystals, The Ronnettes and the Vogues. As the decade progressed the Motown sound became dominant with literally hundreds of hit records by such luminaries as Stevie Wonder, Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, the Four Tops, The Miracles, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and so many more. Or you might hear to folk rockers like Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie and country rockers like the Byrds, Poco, Linda Ronstadt and Pure Prarie League, and Southern Rockers like the Credence Clearwater Revival, or the California Sound typified by the Beach Boys, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Paul Revere and the Raiders, 3 Dog Night, the Monkees, Sonny & Cher, The Grass Roots. You might also hear Soul Music by Wilson Picket, Otis Redding, Fontella Bass, Joe Tex, Sam & Dave, The Righteous Brothers and of course there was the British Invasion: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark Five, Joe Cocker, Hermans Hermits, Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Yardbirds, the Moody Blues, the Kinks, the Who, The Animals and many others. There was just so much good music being made in the era from 1958 to 1972 which we broadly refer to as the "sixties," an era of Top-40 music ,before radio stations started to segregate formats by musical genre. The was SO much great music, that groups lie ours find it dofficult to decide exactly what song to next add to our playlist. There were just too many good ones. We have a vast playlist and cover all these various types of music because of our three talented lead singers, Joseph, Bob and Adele.

We play major venues on Long Island such as the Pennysaver Ampitheatre, 89 North, Napper Tandys, The Oar, The Cedar Beach Blues Festival, Pathogue's Alive at Five, Bobbique and many more. We specialize in corporate and municipal events for counties, towns and villages. We can provide the sound system for most events as well.

We will work closely with you to ensure your guests will talk about your entertainment for years to come. Pricing is determined by a number of factors such as distance, travel time, stage accomodations, ingress/egress considerations at the venue, whether overnight lodging is needed, cost of travel, the day of your event and the hours of the performance. We will answer gladly answer any questions you may have.
