Pacific Suns Youth Chorus A Cappella Group from San Diego, CA

Pacific Suns is San Diego County's young men's honor chorus, singing barbershop harmony and contemporary a cappella. Half-hour program of classic barbershop, flavored with doo-wop, C&W, patriotic, gospel, swing and Broadway. We have gathered a group of young men from several high schools, plus some under-31 adults who love to sing, to form Pacific Suns, a Young Men's Honor Chorus. The objective is to provide an exciting, high-quality singing environment for young men and an opportunity to perform for the San Diego community. Another goal is to compete at the International Youth Barbershop Chorus Festival, which is held annually in January. We performed at the 2014 Festival in Long Beach, CA, on January 30-31, 2014. The upcoming Festival is in New Orleans on January 7-10, 2015. This chorus is sponsored by the Youth In Harmony (YIH) program of San Diego County, as part of the larger YIH Program of the Barbershop Harmony Society. There are no fees for joining and expenses will be largely covered by the YIH program, donations and fundraisers.
