Ross was great to work with. He did a fabulous job performing for my wife's surprise 50th birthday party. He was in tune with the audience in the room. He was personable and great to listen to. His song selection was perfect for the audience and party. I would definitely recommend Ross look forward to working with him again.

I can't thank Side Effect enough for their phenomenal performance at our wedding! From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and finally the reception, they were simply fantastic! Guests danced ALL night, including those who I never expected to be on the dance floor for even a minute! Besides the actual event, Side Effect was so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire planning process. They were very quick to respond to any emails or phone calls and always put your needs first. I had several guests come up to me to express how much they loved the band (their talent, professionalism, and music selection). I would highly recommend Side Effect for any event!

Unfortunately we never got to hear Side Effect play for our event. Ross came out to talk with us and check out the backyard for our wedding. He was very nice and seemed excited about playing on June 20th. Due to weather conditions that couldn't be planned they told us that we needed to have a covered area available for them to play and that we also must have a stage so that they would be off the ground. Renting a stage was almost as expensive as the cost of the band so we decided to go another route for music. Even though we cancelled 2 months in advance, they kept our $150 deposit. I spoke to Ross but he was not willing to refund our deposit. Disappointing.

If you're looking for a band to play the 'YMCA's', 'Let's Get it Started's', and the 'We are Family's' of the world you're best off looking elsewhere.
If you're looking for a consultative, professional & talented band (um, hello: 2 Berkley grads) that'll have everyone from Grandma Gladys to you're second cousins' newest edition Eric dancing you've found the right guys.
Booked site unseen, from initial outreach to conclusion of our wedding the Side Effects guys simply impressed. Literally half of our party wanted to know who these guys were, how we found them, and whether they were available for their upcoming event.

This band is fantastic! They performed at our town 250th Celebration. They were friendly , professional and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this band for any event in the future that I am a part of.

Side Effects did an awesome job for my 30th birthday party. They are very talented and know how to work the crowd. There were adults of all ages and played music for everyone. The band impressed so much a friend booked them for an engagement party. I highly recommend Side Effects!

The band was amazing. What I heard all day from guest was the band is so good. The music selection was great. I have over 15 years as a DJ and I know they satisfied the crowd. I had the club owner ask me for there information. If you want a guest friendly professional band I would highly recommend Side Effect. They keep in touch with you up to the day of your event, they are on time and set up to play when requested. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Oh and what you get for the price is out of this world. Side Effect was professional and everything we hoped they would be. They kept us on track during the events and played all our requests. We couldn't be more pleased and our guests raved about the sound and song list.
They came early and had music playing as our guests arrived. They actually started playing (as a solo and Duo) before the agreed contract time. Our guests ranged from age 20 to 90 and Side Effect read them just right. The compliments came from all ages.
A highlight was when one of our guests sang a few songs then joined the band for a little backup singing.
If you need a band for any occasion, call them to hear what they offer. They are just great.
