Dave Johnson Singer Guitarist from Lebanon, PA

Dave has been a singer/songwriter since he was 13, trying to emulate the lyrics and melodies of his favorite artists like Stevie Wonder and Van Halen. He's been the primary songwriter and frontman for bands such as Sold Out, Happy Fiche, and Ground Zero, both as a guitar player and lead vocalist, as well as from behind the drumset. Dave was also the lead singer and bass player for The Dreadnaughts, a popular cover band in the Little Rock/Memphis market for nearly ten years, and continues to work with PA artists such as Hemlock Groove and Lost Love Horizon. His influences range from bluegrass to metal, and also encompass pop and country. As a solo artist, Dave has released four original albums; he performed all instruments and vocals on the last two. His latest release, Conversations from Room 1170, chronicles his long battle with heart failure and subsequent heart transplant in 2016. The album is a companion to his auto-biography of the same name. His background in public speaking and his life experiences lend both humor and weight to his heartfelt performances (no pun intended...). Dave is the Swiss Army Knife of entertainment for any event; simple background atmosphere, intimate singer/songwriter style house shows, performances with backing tracks or a full band of talented, hand-picked local musicians. Dave also provides unique performances that incorporate his original music and commentary, celebrating his new life and offering insights learned along his journey. (But he also still likes to just play Stevie Wonder and Van Halen songs!) His long performance history is evident both on and off stage in any size crowd. His new lease on life has made him even more passionate about what he does, and determined to have fun doing it.
