My name is Rachel Forehand, I am a Macon, Georgia born and bred musician/singer/songwriter. Over the last two years I've played shows in Georgia - Statesboro, Macon, Athens and Perry. I hope to be branching out to more venues soon. I play a variety of covers ranging from Country, to Southern Rock, Rock N Roll, along with some original songs as well and am open to requests. When playing live shows, I can do solo or duo, I usually do a 3 hour set - the first two hours solo, then my dad, Dwayne, will join me for the last hour with electric guitar. I started a full band "Ray Van Dice" at the beginning of this year and hope to start booking events with them in July-August of this year.
I am in the process of finishing my first EP “Six Strings & Day Dreams” at GiftHorse records in Athens with Steven Ledbetter. I hope to release it by then end of July 2021 and beginning traveling playing more shows and get involved in songwriters rounds.
In April I was involved in a songwriters round in Monteagle, TN at Jim Oliver’s Smokehouse where I shared the stage with Jason Adams, Jennifer McCarther from the McCarther Sisters, Andy Hull, Evan Hull and Kayleigh Mathews. Two of my original songs have also been featured on the Georgia Songbirds Top 10 Weekly Countdown podcast.
When playing a show live, I enjoy talking to the crowd and being involved with the people at the venue. I am always open to requests and usually have a list of the songs that I can play for people to look at if they'd like too. I love to play music and would love to be apart of some events and help people have a good time!
