Riptide is an acoustic guitar duo specializing in Classic Rock, Americana and Bluegrass.
Riptide delivers fresh takes on the songs you and your friends want to hear, plus memorable original material. Riptide is perfect for your guests that love a great guitar solo and a well-sung song. There will be no stiff renditions of stale material. For Deadheads and folks raised on classic rock, Riptide is the perfect choice.
Riptide is the act that fits any venue or event. Lead singer Joe Brennan's often-intricate rhythm guitar parts are the foundation for Riptide's complex and compelling sound. Sandy Israel, a long-time professional bluegrass banjo player, has moved to his first love, lead guitar and plies his speedy fingerpicks to provide Riptide a unique lead sound.
Think of Riptide as the two-person Jam band that can come to your event and play at exactly the volume the suits you best. Expect total professionalism at all times. We get there early, set up fast, look good, and are easygoing to work with. Don't be shocked if you see Sandy pull out a banjo, flute or harmonica! We're there to have fun just like you!

A review from one of our private events:
"Riptide performed at our "Goodwill Almost 100 Years Anniversary Gala" in October of 2019. Joe and Sandy were consummate professionals from the very beginning who made the process as seamless as possible. They reached out well in advance of the event to make sure preparations were handled properly, they showed up early and were all set up in time for our guests' arrival. Their performance was very well-received and enjoyed by all in attendance. The band played a wide range of lively material and I received many favorable compliments throughout the course of the evening. I would not hesitate to use Riptide again in the future and I would highly recommend Riptide for any occasion that would be enhanced by live
