Today's guests are Dawn Sandomeno and Elizabeth Mascali, co-founders of Party Bluprints Inc and The Partybluprints Blog. Their blog contains many simple and special ideas for home entertaining - tips that work for real life hosts, who work hard and live on a budget! Today they stopped by to tell us how to host a fun-filled LORAX themed party.

Take a look: Have some fun with the kids and turn a ho-hum playdate or Birthday Party into a Dr. Seuss Spectacular by incorporating the story of the Lorax into your party theme! It also  makes for a great Earth Day celebration too – which is April 22.

Not only has the LORAX movie made the story popular and the characters more beloved than ever, the Lorax is a perfect parable for fostering a more eco-friendly, green economy and way of life. The Lorax holds many lessons for both kids and adults. Everyone will enjoy this fun celebration!

Here are some tips for hosting a Lorax party from our “How To Host” post on The Partybluprint Blog. For more details, recipes and instructions visit our blog.

Read the story of the LORAX to your small guests and serve them some Lorax inspired Milk and Cookies while they listen!

Then… invite your guest to enjoy a ‘Make It Your Way‘ snack mix with Bar-ba-loots, Humming Fish and Mini Marshmallows! Orange Chinese food takeout boxes make the perfect container and your little guests can bring the left-overs home.  You can decorate them with FREE printables at HP’s Creative Studio. Keep it green and use recycled paper.

For party activities, create a craft table where the kids can color LORAX printable coloring pages and create their own LORAX mustaches!
