Booking Variety Entertainers For A Corporate Event

Corporate events are a vital part of any company’s social calendar. Some corporations host events for prospective or current clients, while others may host a party for their employees. When planning these professional events, it’s important to keep in mind that booking entertainment is a great way to add an element of fun to a corporate gathering.

Many companies are starting to think “outside of the box” when it comes to corporate party entertainment, moving beyond booking traditional DJ’s or bands, and trying more unique variety entertainers like magicians, comedians and mentalists. GigMasters magician, Close-Up Magic of Marco (Rockaway, NJ) believes that variety acts are a great entertainment choice for corporate functions because,"Variety entertainers will spice up any corporate event, whether it is a high energy party or low key gathering. Variety acts are great for breaking the ice between guests at a cocktail hour and we also make a fun choice for themed corporate parties. Variety entertainers, such as magicians, are the perfect entertainment alternative for corporate events that do not want to hire a DJ or band, but still wish to provide guests with some form of entertainment."

First time GigMasters client Marisa Cogan of RainMaker Software decided to try something new and book a variety entertainer for her company’s recent client conference. Marisa booked mentalist team Larry and Raven (New York, NY).  She was so pleased with her experience booking a variety style entertainer for their annual corporate event that she decided to share her story. Take a look at what Marisa had to say about her corporate event with mentalist team Larry and Raven:

MC: "RainMaker Software is a provider of financial and practice management software for mid-to-large sized law firms. Each year we host a Client Conference somewhere in the U.S. and this year we landed in our company’s hometown of Philadelphia. During our three-day conference, we host two evening events for our clients.

This year we chose to go on a cruise down the Delaware River for one of our evening events.  We took our group of 80 (or so) folks on a three hour cruise down the river aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia riverboat. Aside from the dinner, dancing and drinks, I wanted to add an additional element of entertainment. I began to scour the internet for unique and entertaining acts….and then I came across GigMasters.

GigMasters had a plethora of performers and that’s where I found Larry and Raven, the mentalist act. From my first contact with Larry and Raven, through to the post performance, they were a delight to work with. Not only were they entertaining, but they brought a unique element to our conference that we have never had before. Our clients were definitely entertained and they were the hot topic of discussion the next day at the conference. Everyone had their theories on how they were able to 'read minds' and know things that they couldn’t possibly know! Even the cruise staff was gathered around during their performance.

It was a great night of entertainment and I would recommend Larry & Raven to any event planner looking to entertain their guests in a way that they probably have not seen before. I’m sure it will still be a topic of conversation at next year’s conference as well."

altWe would like to thank Marisa and RainMaker Software for sharing the wonderful details of their corporate event with us!
