Break out the glitter and glue! Ornament decorating is a fun way to give guests a hands on experience, especially the little ones. The best part is that everyone can create a keepsake to hang up for years. Ornaments can be fairly cheap to make, and a variety of household items can be used for decorations! Use Styrofoam balls from the craft store, clear plastic ornament bulbs or even paper! Then, encourage guests to create their own by setting up a station with glitter, beads, glue sticks and paint. If you need to spark some creativity, check out these ideas from HGTV.com. What better way to show off your newly decorated ornaments than with a...

2. Tree Trimming Party

Whether they're ornaments you've collected over the years, or ornaments you've made yourself, invite friends and family to help hang them on the tree! If you're a new family looking to build up your ornament collection, this party idea is perfect! Just ask guests to bring along one small ornament. (Think "housewarming," but for your Christmas tree!) Guests are sure to work up an appetite, so provide festive snacks like these Cheerio Christmas trees from Betty Crocker.

3. Cookie Swap

The tastiest of all holiday parties is, of course, the cookie swap. It's a great way to mingle with family, while adding assortment to your holiday cookie platter! To fill each other's trays, you'll want to make at least a half dozen of your favorite cookies for each participating guest. For instance, if 8 friends want to swap, you'll each need to bake at least 4 dozen cookies. Nothing goes better with cookies than hot chocolate! Set up this easy hot cocoa bar for friends to enjoy.

There are a ton of ways to celebrate during the holiday season, but we love these three themes because the whole family can be involved! No matter what kind of party you choose, the GigMasters family is here to help you with your entertainment needs.
