Dear old Dad's holiday is coming up on June 17th which means it's time to start racking your brain for gift ideas. Finding the perfect gift for Father's Day can sometimes be tricky. When you are little, arts and crafts projects, ties, and mugs make for excellent gifts (or at least I thought they did when I was that age).
As you get older, there's the need (and usually the financial means) to up the ante a little. Maybe you give him a nice sweater, sports memorabilia, or tools. These gift options are pretty standard, and standard is good. There are lots of great resources on the web to find Father’s Day gift ideas. I personally think this fabulous list from Real Simple has some new, creative ideas.
Gifts.com also lets you shop by Dad’s personality, which may make browsing a bit easier. But, if you want to go with something truly unique and memorable for Father’s Day, you have come to the right place. We’ve got some interesting gift ideas that will surely beat out your siblings offerings for this year’s favorite. Last year we told you about the ultimate one-of-a-kind Father’s Day gift idea – hiring a singing telegram! It will definitely be a gift he will remember!
Along those same lines, you could have Dad serenaded by one of his favorite singers, perhaps Frank Sinatra or Elvis? Or maybe he would like to rub elbows with a favorite celeb, like John Wayne, Robert DeNiro or Howard Stern? I’m sure no other Dads will have the same Father’s Day story to share (and their stories won’t be nearly as exciting)! Hiring a caricaturist to draw your Dad and the rest of your family would also make for a very fun gift. You could ask for single portraits or a group drawing. A creative caricature would make a great keepsake to remind Dad of your fun Father’s Day thoughtfulness.
