I recently had a nice conversation with the lovely ladies of Wedding Paper Divas and we found we have something in common, a love of garden weddings. Below are some of the top wedding trends for this year's garden weddings, and some of our favorite invitations from Wedding Paper Divas that fit the theme perfectly.
A big trend for the season is pop hues. Starting with your invitations you can carry a bold and bright hue throughout your event to create a cool, fresh feel.
Decorating your garden wedding reception is your chance to stay somewhat simple but also elegant. One of the benefits of a garden wedding is you can use nature and the greenery as your décor. One style we love is rose petals in the aisle and using garden chairs and colored cushions to add a pop.
Another trend we have noticed this summer is bridesmaids are wearing alternate colors. This image from Eating Lemons is a perfect example of a bridal party at a summer wedding with peach and tango colored dresses, each with their very own style. It will definitely add to the feel of the summer wedding and create beautiful photos! Very fun.
Mason Jars are coming under a lot of attack these days, but if you like the idea then a mason jar cocktail can be a creative extra to your wedding and a fun DIY project for you and your bridesmaids! You can serve lemonade, mint juleps, or Bellinis in these fun jars. It is an inexpensive addition to the wedding and adding a note and tying it with rope would be a perfect favor for your guests to take home.
What are your favorite summer wedding trends you have seen so far this year? How many weddings are you attending this summer?
