Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away? Now that the spooky season has officially ended, it’s time to prepare ourselves for endless amount of stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and of course, TURKEY! When we think of Thanksgiving we automatically think food but during that small window of relaxation before indulging in all our favorite dishes, it’s the perfect time to take part in kid-friendly Thanksgiving party activities and traditions. We've put together some ideas for you!

Throw A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving viewing party! Let the kids come over for a movie night potluck where they can dress as their favorite characters, take a Peanuts Quiz, and even craft their own Peanuts character t-shirts. To take the party to the next level, invite Snoopy along to by hiring a costumed character from GigMasters.

Another great KidsGiving party idea is a Thanksgiving reenactment potluck. Have half the kids dress up as Indians and half the kids dress up as pilgrims and each child can bring a food dish or side for the big meal! Set up a station with leaf cutouts and have each child write down what they are thankful for. Each kid can place the leaf on the bare tree cutout by the table and once everyone sits down to eat, they can go around the table saying what they are thankful for while enjoying their Thanksgiving meal!

If you want a Thanksgiving dinner party that both kids and adults can enjoy together, plan out a “rustic” theme Friendsgiving Dinner. The simplicity and elegance of the decorations allows for a pretty look and an easy cleanup. Using brown craft paper on the kids table as a tablecloth allows the kids to keep busy and stay creative as they draw whatever they are inspired by during dinner. With amazing food and great company, what could make this even better?  How about music! Hire a folk singer or acoustic guitarist from Gigmasters!
