Usually when people talk about their wedding being a "circus" they don't mean it in a good way, or even in a planned way! But Gina and Frank wanted their wedding to be a real circus, and with help from GigMasters' circus act entertainer Hernan Cortes their wedding dreams came true.
Why the circus theme? The couple met while working at the Jackson Rancheria, Gina (the bride in black and red) is a tattoo artist and loves the history that ties in with tattoos, freak shows and sideshows. She wanted her wedding to be comfortable and fun for everyone. Instead of having bridesmaids and groomsmen the couple had their family and closest friends dress as various "freaks" and requested that other guests dress as though they were attending a carnival. jeans/t shirt. Gina's best guy friend, dressed as the strong man in a leopard print thong unitard. The couple had their rings tattooed on during the wedding.
I asked Gina if there was anything she would have done differently and this was her answer, "The only thing I would do differently is have walked around in my costume more before the wedding, I was so preoccupied with all the decor I didnt spend any time thinking about my outfit and the corset kept sliding down all night I was constantly pulling it up and exposing too much!"
