Everyone celebrates Halloween in their own way. Of course, hosting a party is a great way to enjoy this fun holiday with family and friends – and that’s just what GigMasters' client Kimi is doing this year. Her family is hosting a Halloween pig roast for those near and dear to them.

Kimi’s family has enjoyed hosting annual pig roasts in the past and this year, they decided to try something different and combine their pig roast with their love of Halloween. Their party will be held at their family home. Kimi will be decorating the outside of her home with festive Halloween decorations.

Due to space constraints of her backyard, Kimi will be setting the party scene in her front yard and driveway. She will be adding small pop up tents which will include space for seating, games and mingling. She is planning to decorate the tents with twinkle lights and include bales of hay for seating.

This Halloween gathering is a family friendly affair. Kimi explained: “This is the one time of year that we see all the people that we miss seeing all year long, because we are all so busy these days.” Guests will be asked to dress up for the occasion, although costumes will not be mandatory to enjoy the party. For those who do come in costume, they will have an opportunity to participate in a costume contest. The hosts will also be asking guests to bring a carved pumpkin for a jack-o-lantern contest.

This Halloween pig roast will include plenty of entertainment and activities. In years past, Kimi had a small band play her parties - but unfortunately they no longer live locally. So, this year, Kimi used GigMasters to find One-Man-Band David Payton (Atlanta, Georgia). After reviewing his GigMasters profile and receiving a price quote that worked with her entertainment budget, Kimi knew she had found the life of her party. “We live in a neighborhood, so we have to be careful with noise. A one person band is perfect for what we needed. He plays country, blues and southern rock. It will set the stage for a lovely night out with the family.”

Guests attending the party will also be able to enjoy fun games of cornhole and a wonderful fall bonfire. Each year Kimi also has her kids design t-shirts for the party, so guests can leave with a fun memento. She is also planning to have offer a signature drink to accompany the beer and wine that will be served for the adults.
