Oracle is a multinational computer technology corporation specializing in developing and marketing computer hardware systems and enterprise software products. The organization relies heavily on the performance of the sales team, having over 390,000 customers. To recognize the group’s hard work and get them excited for the next quarter, the corporation holds a quarterly Kick-Off event.

GigMasters’ client Elyse describes the sales team of over 100 employees as a crazy and diverse bunch that know how to work hard and party even harder. So of course she wanted to plan an exciting and entertaining event for the team.

This March, she planned a “Roaring Twenties” Casino Event for the group that was held on the Odyssey Cruise Boat in Washington D.C. With its floor to ceiling windows, the boat provided beautiful views along the Potomac River of the country’s capital. A live band, Casino games and dealers were supplied by the Odyssey. To add even more excitement to the Casino theme, Oracle held a Raffle for the guests to win cash prizes.

The boat was transformed back to the 1920’s with dining tables covered with headpieces, hats, blow horns, and beads. The dance floor was decorated with silver and gold balloons along with a banner that read, “Welcome to the Roaring Twenties Oracle Direct.” Guests entered the boat through an arch way made of casino chips where a photo op was set up for the guests.

When searching for a magician to perform that evening, GigMasters' entertainer, Illusions By Vick (Ellicott City, MD), fit the criteria and theme perfectly. Elyse explained why she chose Vick to entertain her guests, “Once we engaged in conversation, he sold me. He took my ideas and created an entire custom performance for my group. I felt very comfortable and stress free, which is always a great feeling when planning an event."

We were happy to hear that the client was extremely satisfied with the turnout of the event and added, “Everyone left with good laughs, new friends from other parts of the organization and lasting memories. I ended the day on a high note having put together another successful corporate event. The guests are still talking about that day and are very anxious for what I have planned next for them come June.”
