Top Five Father's Day Songs

Drew Stoga

We already gave you our Five Funky Songs For Father's Day but we know that not all the Dads out there are all that funky. Some Dads are a little country, some are a little Rock & Roll. Our Father's Day song list has a little bit of everything!

Check out our All-Time Top Five Father's Day Songs (and click the links for great cover versions from GigMasters members):

1.My Father's Eyes - Eric Clapton This is a bit of a sappy one but if your Dad is anything like mine he really, really likes Eric Clapton.

2. Father & Son - Cat Stevens A beautiful, emotional tune that really captures the complicated nature of some father/son relationships. It's a bit of a tear-jerker (the Johnny Cash version even more so) but that's life.

3. Papa Loves Mambo - Perry Como We needed at least ONE song that would make you dance instead of cry. This is a really fun one and if you are having a Father's Day party it is a must-play!

4. Old Man - Neil Young Hopefully Dad has a sense of humor. Neil insists that this song isn't about his pops, but rather about the rancher who looked after his land back in the 1970s. Still, it seems like an appropriate song for Father's Day.

5. Forever Young - Bob Dylan After calling your Dad an "Old Man," you might have to play this one to make up for it (even though Dylan actually wrote this for his kids). P.S. Can you believe that Dylan is 70 years old?!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! You guys rock!
