About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

As a professional piper, I have been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe for 19 years. I have performed at numerous funeral services, military honor services, birthday parties, weddings, church services including Native American churches and, a Cowboy Church in Wichita Falls, TX. I have also played for both public and private schools from elementary grades to University level institutions. In Oct. 2015, I was honored to be invited to play the pipes at the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Memorial Service for the four individuals that lost their lives as well as the many injured and their families that survived the tragic incident that occurred during the Oklahoma State University Homecoming Parade in Stillwater, OK. I have also had the honor of playing my bagpipes over several graves in Arlington National Cemetery. Notably, General of the Army, George C. Marshall's grave; General of the Army, Omar Bradley's grave; and Capt. Johnny Michael Spann's grave in October 2012 (all pictured in the gallery). Captain 'Mike' Spann, USMC, was the first American to die in the "war on terror" after Sept. 11, 2001. By invitation, I was honored to meet the Spann family in July 2015 at their home in Winfield, Alabama where I played my pipes for them in honor of their son, Mike Spann. I have performed in several area churches including Asbury Church, First United Methodist Church, (both in Tulsa), First Presbyterian Church in Claremore for Reformation Sunday, First Baptist Church in Sapulpa for their annual Patriotic program on July 3rd. (2016) the First Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas for their Christmas cantata, "Peace on Earth" (December 2016 & 2017). Most recently, I was invited to play at the First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow for their Memorial Sunday services on May 30, 2021. I have been invited to put on programs at several Lions Clubs and Rotary International Clubs (Tulsa - Henryetta - Okmulgee - Bartlesville) as well as several Senior Citizen's organization. In July 2016 & 2018, I was invited to play for a Gideon's State Fund Rally for the Okmulgee Camp. (Pictured is Gideon International speaker from Ghana, West Africa, Israel George Akuaku). I am honored to have been invited to play my bagpipes at the Oklahoma State Capitol, House of Representatives, for Tartan Day, April 6, 2017 by invitation of the Speaker of the House. (See photo gallery) My piping repertoire includes patriotic tunes, Christmas tunes, traditional Scottish & Irish tunes, wedding marches and tunes of faith. My attire is that of a traditional Scottish Highland Piper. Over the years, my piping has taken me to numerous states including Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, North Dakota, New York, Vermont and, of course, Oklahoma. A majority of my requests comes from the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Stillwater, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Springdale, Rogers, and Bella Vista, Arkansas areas. In November 2015, I played the pipes for a 90 year old veteran's surprise birthday party at the request of the Bartlesville Lions Club. I have been invited back to the Bartlesville Lions Club to play my pipes in January 2017 again for the veteran. I have played for golf tournaments, in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Henryetta and Oklahoma City. AAA Oklahoma recognizes men and women in the Oklahoma Highway Patrol each year at an awards luncheon. In 2018, I was invited to play my pipes for this event to be held at the new Edmond Convention Center in Edmond, OK. The event was held on March 29th. Pictured is OHP "Trooper of the Year" Brian Costanza and his trusted piper at the awards luncheon in March 2017. I am a graduate of Kemper Military School & College in Boonville, MO with continued studies at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Baptist University. I am married to my wife, Linda, of 55 years and we are blessed with three grown children and seven beautiful grandchildren. I am honorably discharged from the US Army having served proudly during the Vietnam era with the 24th Infantry Division in Augsburg, Germany. If you are looking for a piper and the sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe for any occasion, I am a click away. I will work with the client and, if needed, I can recommend tunes that will be appropriate for your special occasion. I would be pleased to provide you pricing and referrals upon request. All inquiries are welcome. PLEASE NOTE: Video available upon request.........

Corporate Function•Reviewed on December 9, 2023•From Oklahoma City, OK

Kent was absolutely wonderful! He was excellent at communicating prior to the event and took requests. He arrived on time and was very adaptable to the changing timing of events. He was a definite hit at our company Christmas party. Kent is such a nice and pleasant man and our owner loved talking with a fellow Scottish man. Thank you Kent!!

Amazing Grace Piper:

Funeral•Reviewed on December 8, 2023•From Enid, OK

The family was extremely please with the service. "Amazing Grace" sounded wonderful. When we have a request in the future for a bagpiper, we will definitely be using Kent again. Thanks again for an amazing service.

Amazing Grace Piper:

Maxwell, Thank you for the review and the Five Star (*****) Rating! It is very much appreciated. I played my best for the Cook family and it pleases me to know that they liked my performance yesterday morning at their mother's memorial. I stand ready to be of assistance to you and/or your clients should they desire to have the pipes played at a loved one's memorial or internment. Respectfully, Kent Pharaoh AMAZING GRACE PIPER

Wedding Ceremony•Reviewed on September 5, 2023•From Blanchard, OK

I could be here all day and still not be able to speak highly enough of Kent. What an incredible person all round, and an absolute master on the pipes. Very professional yet deeply accommodating, and we could tell that he genuinely cared about us, and making our big day as special as possible. Thank you for everything, Kent. Hope we can work together again in the future!

Amazing Grace Piper:
