Bruce The Bagpiper Bagpiper from Fair Oaks, CA

I am a performing and competition bagpiper. Being an active competitor keeps my piping sharp and insures that I have a well tuned instrument. There's a nice collection of trophies and awards from competition in my practice room and even after 16 years I still take a weekly music lesson to continually refine my piping. I am a member of the the St Andrews Society of Sacramento, Clan MacKenzie USA, and the Scottish American Military Society, have been in two different pipe bands, and have performed at hundreds of weddings, golf tournaments, parades, pub events, funerals, and inside the capitol for the State legislature. My local area is Sacramento, Auburn, Lincoln, Roseville, Davis, Placerville, Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, and Elk Grove. Travel out side of that region may require a higher fee. I charge a flat fee per event. As I am brand new to The Bash here is a recent review (8/1/20) from a similar service: I booked Bruce to play to our family as part of a 30th Wedding Anniversary celebration in Davis, CA. My wife and I were married in Scotland so it was to bring back a memory of the event. Bruce was really outstanding in communicating before the event, in attending punctually, being interactive with the group and making sure he tailored the music to the audience. The music was beautifully played under shade trees in a park. Some walkers and runners stopped to listen and applaud during Bruce's playing, which was really nice. But on top of that, especially in the time of Covid 19, we really appreciated his warmth and friendliness during the whole event and in chatting with us after he finished playing. I fully recommend Bruce and believe he would make a great contribution to any event - he really cares about moving the audience with his music and making a positive impact. Leo, Davis, CA
