Professional Bagpiper, Featured Performer, Composer and Music Instructor Raphael Pazo, Jr., Ph.D. MUSIC OF ELEGANCE AND DISTINCTION Looking for an exceptionally experienced music with an impeccable, elegant presentation and distinct musical expression? My name is Raphael Pazo, professional musician, instructor, arranger, conductor and composer over 41 years of experience performing at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, sporting events, theatre and film productions. I hold Bachelor's and a Master's Degrees in Music from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, Spain. I received by training a Highland Bagpiper from Dugald McNeill, Harry Sinclair McNulty, Bruce Hitchins, Aaron Shaw and Iain Whitelaw, and have participated numerous piping master classes in the United States, Canada, Scotland and England. I regularly attend music academic conferences and compete ins A Capella singing competitions around the world. I also hold bachelor's degrees in Science and Business; Master Degrees in (MBA) in Business Administration and Linguistic Sciences; and Doctoral Degrees (Ph.D.) in International Relations and Comparative Religion. Besides bagpipes, I also play several other instruments, including: Scottish, Welsh, Irish and Spanish Bagpipes (gaitas); violin, viola, violoncello, bass; classical guitar, oud, lute, mandolin, ukulele, recorders (English Medieval Flutes - all ranges from Sopranino, Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass); clarinet, cuatro, shofar and others. I sing (baritone) with various A Capella groups and particularly enjoy close-harmony-singing styles like Barbershop Harmony. I am fluent in several languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hebrew. I am a U.S. Army Veteran and an active life-member many Veterans service organizations.
