Kevin thrilled our club members with his music ability and his wonderful explanations of the various pipes used outdoor and indoor areas. His thoroughness in explaining the types of tunes during the centuries was very interesting and the examples he played were enjoyed by all. He is personable and has a very good sense of humor. I think Kevin is a very accomplished and talented piper, and would have given an overall "5" in all categories, but I was unable to achieve the musical effect I had hoped, and perhaps this is because I am not fully aware of the challenges my request posed for professional musicians, but since I had heard what I sought from others, I suggest that not all musicians, no matter how talented, can meet every demand! So, notwithstanding that, I would eagerly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking a traditional Scottish or Irish piper!

I hired Kevin for a funeral service. Having never hired a bagpiper for a funeral I was sure what the protocol was. Kevin was very helpful in that regard and made the whole process easy. He sounded great and looked the part. Bottom line , he was excellent. Thank you Kevin!

Kevin O’Brien was very knowledgeable and professional. He shared relevant information about the Arlington funeral experience. He arrived ahead of schedule, checked in at the chapel and was waiting for our arrival at the gravesite. His piping added SO much to this celebration of life and internment. We were very pleased. Kevin was in place well before anyone arrived. He played in the rain as people arrived. After mass, the recessional hymn was “Amazing Grace”. As they exited the church, they were greeted with “Amazing Grace” on bagpipes. Beautiful!! Thank you Kevin O’Brien!!??

Dont take not giving any 5 as a negative. I feel everyone has room for improvement and hardly ever give anyone or anything a perfect score.. Kevin arrived on time at the church and cemetery. He helped make my father's funeral service special. I have no reason not to give him a positive review but I'm not some professional judge on bag piping either. I personally would use his services again or recomend him to anyone needing someone to play the bag pipes. A big kudos to him for traveling 3 hours for our family at the price he quoted us. Everyone local to me was not available and could have took advantage of us but he didnt. Thank you very much sir.

Amazing! Not only was he quick to respond, he was so polite and professional. He went out of his way to put a lot together because a funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery for a fallen Green Beret. Mr. O’Brien played for a long period of time while the Soldiers went through a long line of approximately 200 people to say their goodbyes to their teammate. It was impressive and I can’t imagine how that part of the service would have gone without his beautiful music. It was truly touching and his exit was remarkable as he played a last note as the last Soldier punched his crest into the casket and saluted. We highly recommend Mr. O’Brien and would use him again!
