THEREFORE - Performance Options ARE available, both IN PERSON - OR - VIRTUAL (either Zoom or Facetime possible!) > WHO ARE WE? - GENERATIONS QUARTET is a barbershop type quartet, located in the Providence, RI / Southeastern MA area. >WHAT IS OUR SINGING EXPERIENCE? - Our Quartet has a COMBINED TOTAL of 178 years of Barbershop Harmony experience, through Sept, 2019. ALSO, DURING LAST YEAR, 2019, we sang at 61 total performances! > WHAT DO WE DO? - We sing and perform a variety of new and old tunes at various events for many age groups. > WHEN AND WHERE CAN WE SING? - Regarding our availability, we are available DAY OR NIGHT, and can perform almost anywhere for you! We sing at events at private homes, at work, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living locations. ALSO, we sing for marriage proposals and wedding receptions. And let's not forget performances we do for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other personal or work related special events. >WHERE DO WE SING? We have sung in small rooms, conference rooms, and for large, indoor conferences and outdoor events. And we can sing ON STAGE, or roaming around to INDIVIDUAL TABLES AND BOOTHS, to meet the needs of the event. FOR VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES - coordinate details of the performance with us. >FYI - ONE SHORT STORY, REGARDING OUR LONGEST DISTANCE TRAVELED - From Providence, RI to Maui, HI - approx 5,010 miles ! WHEN? - In December, 2017, we attended a convention located in Maui, HI. WHY? - REASON: to help support teaching and performing music in schools. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! Men and women attended from the US, Canada, a few from Europe, and a quartet from New Zealand attended, along with local students from Maui. We started learning the music at home. Then, we finished rehearsing the music for 3 days in Maui with other singers and coaches. FINALLY - SHOW TIME! - We performed the final show on Saturday night. This including various choruses (men's, women's, and student's, PLUS the combined chorus of all of us), quartets, and performances from local HI entertainers. We (Generations Quartet) were asked to open the show, and we did one song which appealed to the students, parents, and their grandparents in the audience! After the show, we went out with our new friends to a restaurant for a late dinner and MUCH singing ! Then Sunday (sigh...), we returned home - back to snow on the ground in RI and MA ! > MOVING ALONG IN 2021! HOLIDAY - VALENTINE'S DAY COMING UP ! And Others!
