THE BIG BAND EXPRESS has enjoyed a long and rich history in performing big band music in the state of Michigan and surrounding areas. We typically play at weddings, fundraisers, anniversary parties and other celebrations. Some of our performances have included the Michigan State Fair and Henry Ford/Greenfield Village. The Big Band Express specialty is in the Big Band Era from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties. We have charts from artists such as Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Harry James, Count Basie, Billy May, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Henry Mancini, Les Brown, Les & Larry Elgart and other big band greats. We work closely with our clients so that their event is as specialized to their musical tastes as possible. We also have some smaller bands which include a nine/ten piece band and a jazz trio/quartet and quintet.
