Muleskinner Stomp was the perfect wedding band. Their music was relaxed yet lively, full of carefree energy. The music was just loud enough that it encouraged conversation to flow, rather than supplanting it. But it wasn’t merely background music -- a small and devoted group of guests sat in front of the band, with some grown-ups singing along. Tiny tots bounced up and down in time to the music.
In addition to being great musicians, the band is very easy to work with. They were flexible in scheduling their start time, and were able to accommodate my wedding venue’s stringent noise requirements. They even dispensed some wise marriage advice!

This band was absolutely fantastic. Very professional and yet very personable, everyone at our wedding throughly enjoyed them. As a musician myself I can say that these guys know their stuff, they play well together, can improvise on the fly seamlessly and played with even intensity from beginning to end even though they played for over 4 hours (my fingers hurt with sympathy pains on their behave). If you need a bluegrass band for any event, these are your guys: they sound great, interact with the crowd well and even look the part. Thank you for making our wedding even more fantastic!

Muleskinner played for our wedding in an out of the way regional park. Everyone couldn’t get over how good they were. Jim was very easy to work with, very professional and played for the full committed time. He also had suggestions wit respect to what to play and where to stand during the ceremony. If I were getting married again, I would again ask Muleskinner to play!

I really really appreciated their willingness to accommodate an atypical performance. It was an event that I had meticulously planned and rather than be turned off by the amount of communications, they (Jim) were happy to help. At the performance, the guys weren’t just excellent musicians but were engaging and personable and left us with smiles on our faces!

Great group of guys/musicians! Very friendly, relaxed, eager to please and courteous. They really seem to enjoy what they do and they shared that enthusiasm with the audience through their musical energy and in-between-song banter. I cannot recommend these guys enough! We have events 3x a year and always have music. This is the first time our attendees sat and listened to the band!! They even chanted for an encore! Not only entertaining, Muleskinner Stomp was friendly, professional and the best talent we have had in a long time.

These guys were perfect, and I highly recommend them. We had an outdoor Sonoma wedding with under 50 attendees, and Jim and the band were very accommodating to the unique venue. We setup a dance floor, and everyone was dancing and having fun. They were also nice enough to let a friend jump on stage with them to play a few tunes. Was a pleasure to work with them, and appreciate their talent and professionalism.

They arrived promptly, rehearsed to get the sound perfect and played some great music. When we served dinner they performed an acoustic set in various parts of our yard while people were seated...absolutely over the top!

Muleskinner Stomp was the right band for the job! We had our event at the California Railroad Museum and gave our guests a true taste of Americana. The music was great, fun, upbeat and engaging. We also wanted to teach our International guests some folk dancing, they brought someone to show a few dance moves and everyone was up and participating. I highly recommend them!
