We are a bluegrass band from Oak Park, Il. Our band plays a mix of traditional bluegrass songs and instrumental tunes along with one or two country covers. Our first gig was leading a jam session at the end of the youth division of the 2015 Midwest Fiddle Championship in The Old Town School of Folk Music's Szold Hall. Since then we have played at Friendly Tap and Val's Halla Records several times, we have also played at the Oak Park Arts League, The Sugar Beat Food Co-Op and The Geraghty. We are currently #5 on Reverbnation's Chicago Bluegrass Chart. We play using the old fashioned single mic technique with our Ear Trumpet Labs microphone. This is the band's current lineup:
Connor Ostrow: Fiddle&Vocals
Connor Ostrow is a former Student of Rachel Baiman, Mike Casey and Matt Brown. Now a student of Michael Cleveland, he is the 2015 Illinois State Fair Fiddle Champion, a member of the School of Rock Oak Park's House Band and a teacher at the Oak Park Fiddle Camp.

Jordan started his career as a regular opener for The Laugh Factory Hawai?i and was a company member with Hawai?i's longest running improv troupe ON THE SPOT HAWAI?I. At age 19, Jordan bought Steve Martin's Let's Get Small album and it was the first time he ever heard the banjo music and comedy intertwined so well. Jordan then taught himself how to play the five-string banjo and started performing standup all over Honolulu. He is currently 30 years old and has recently earned a Masters of Comedy degree from The Second City Chicago University.
Will Wright: Upright Bass and Vocals
A bluegrass band would not be complete without an upright bass and when Russel Clark gave Will his first upright bass in August, Will decided that he would work night and day to become as good a bluegrass bass player as he could as quickly as he can and has hardly put the bass down since. He played his first gig with Basement Bluegrass less than a month after getting his first upright bass in August of 2015 and has only gotten better since.
