Kathy and the band were very professional, setting up to play without input from us. The sound equipment was adequate for our party space. We were able to use their mic for our presentations.
Kathy was personable, attractive and approachable. The band was similar. The personalized song was fun.
Everyone I have spoken to since the party has specifically mentioned the band---how good they were and how much they were enjoyed.
I would hire them again if I have another similar party!

Kathy and the rest of Phoenix Rising went above and beyond for my daughter's wedding. They were friendly, mixed with the crowd well, and the music was lively and wonderful. Everyone loved them, especially the bride and groom. They were laid back but professional in every way. And they presented the newlyweds with a framed copy of the words to the song they wrote just for them. I want to have another event so I can have them perform again! Greatest bluegrass band ever! Played our large country wedding, wrote a personalized song just for us! Everyone enjoyed them, they were very talented. Great people, care about doing a great job which is hard to find. Not bad priced either :)

This band really made our wedding special and personal. When the band arrived Kathy and the guys greeted us like old friends. They played such fun music and clearly enjoyed performing. We got so many compliments about how wonderful they were. They were prompt in responding to all of our questions and put us at ease at a very stressful time. We especially loved the song they wrote about my husband and me! All of the guests couldn't believe they took the time to do that. We whole-heartedly recommend Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising to anyone looking for a fun, unique, friendly, talented band to make any event memorable. Thanks again for a wonderful evening!

Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising Band were the icing on the cake for our wedding! They are incredible musicians. They were an absoulte pleasure to work with. All of our wedding guests are still talking about how great they were. They were a definite highlight in our wedding! I would book them over and over again!

Kathy and the band were absolutely wonderful! The guests couldn't stop talking about how much fun they were to listen to and how entertaining they were. They engaged the "audience" and the guests loved it. They helped me sing a song to my husband - making me sound so much better than I deserved. They are a fun, professional, talented and very entertaining band. Recommend highly!

Phoenix Rising was the perfect band for our outdoor wedding. They played acoustic during the ceremony and then we danced the night away for the reception. All of our guests gave great feedback - I'd definitely recommend them for a wedding or special event!

I could not have asked for a better band to play at my wedding. I found Kathy and crew by typing in "bluegrass and Oregon" in google and gigmasters popped up. There were a few options but they caught my eye (or ear) because their music was upbeat and fun - music that you couldn't help but move to. Second to that was that the price was incredibly reasonable.
The best part was that they were accommodating, communicative and spent the time to share in our joy by writing a song and allowing my (now) husband and I to take a moment to ourselves to celebrate our union.
I can't recommend this band enough. They were incredible! Don't think twice, BOOK THEM!
