Tres Urbanos (Three Urbanites) play a fresh, groove-filled take on American, Latin, and Brazilian classics that will make it hard not to get out of your seat and sing all the words to these funky acoustic favorites. The song list is custom curated and creates lasting, memorable experiences for large-scale corporate functions, weddings, intimate receptions, and special events. Styles include American genres such as: pop classics, Motown, jazz standards, contemporary jazz, soul, classic rock, as well as Brazilian styles: samba, bossa nova, forró, baião, and samba-rock, to name a few. Upon request, the core trio can be expanded to include vocals, horns, piano, and other additions to form larger ensembles.

Members:
Itaiguara Brandão - electric bass, upright bass, and guitar. During his 25-year career as a professional musician in New York City, Itaiguara has recorded and performed in major venues, such as the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Sydney Opera House, and the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, with prominent artists like Paquito de Rivera, Marcos Valle, Roberto Menescal, Randy Brecker, Leny Andrade, Angelique Kidjo, and Romero Lubambo, among many others. For several years Itaiguara has led musical groups for large galas and corporate functions to organizations such as the Bronx Zoo and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. 

Wesley Amorim - acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele. Wesley Amorim, a guitarist, composer, and arranger from São Paulo, Brazil, started his musical journey at age eleven. Graduated in music from the São Caetano do Sul Arts Foundation at age seventeen, he began playing and recording professionally in a wide range of music genres, from Brazilian to jazz, rock, pop, and gospel. Amorim has performed with countless artists, and in Broadway musicals such as Jesus Christ Super Star and The Lion King. Amorim recently moved to the US and has already shared the stage with renowned artists, including Alcione, Oriente Lopez, Luiz Simas, Leo Maia, Arthur Lipner, Gene Perla, Eleanor Dubinski, Jackie Ribas, Vanessa Falabela, Itaiguara Brandão, Maurício Zottarelli, and others.

Samuel Martinelle - drums, and percussion. Samuel Martinelli, drummer from Curitiba Brazil, graduated in Music Therapy from Parana College of Arts and started his career as a drummer playing Bossa Nova, Jazz, Rock, and Pop. He moved to the US for a masters Degree in Jazz Studies in New York City, and has been sharing the stage with renowned musicians at major venues. Martinelle performed at the main stage of Carnegie Hall on three occasions under the regency of maestro Maurice Peress, recorded German singer Misha Steinhauer's latest jazz album featuring Hendrick Meurkens, and played with Grammy nominated trumpeter Claudio Roditi, Grammy Award winner Alcione, bass player Itaiguara Brandao, American singer Eleanor Dubinsky, singer Jackie Ribas, among others.

To anyone looking for a real band, these guys are the BEST and REAL deal out there. These gentleman felt like family at my wedding! Working with Mr. Martinelli was so easy and smooth. These gentleman are truth craftsman at their job. I'm a musician, and wow these guys made me want to quit my own instrument! It was amazing having them play for my wedding reception. Nothing feels better than real, live music. If you want a band that knows what they're doing, what they're playing, and have fun doing it; these are the ones! They even invited me to play with them on my wedding day! I'd get married again just to have them play. Thank you so much Sam and the gang!

We held a small cocktail party and booked Tres Urbanos to play. They were very friendly and professional throughout the entire experience, making the planning, setup, and takedown incredibly easy and effortless. The music was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for, with both lovely tunes that would make you notice, and yet create a nice atmosphere, enveloping the event. Perfect for what we wanted. What a joy it was to have Tres Urbanos play during the cocktail hour at our wedding!  They sounded great and both the American and Brazilian guests enjoyed the experience.
