Rio Bamba has appeared on ABC TV, FOX TV, WGN TV and other radio and television programs numerous times. Rio Bamba is an exciting blend of Brazilian, World Music and American Jazz. Additionally our song list includes contemporary pop and rock songs. For 10 years Rio Bamba has performed in a wide variety of jazz and pop on television, radio, world music venues, corporate shows, private parties, weddings and festivals performing standards and original songs in the unique style of the group.
The group performs as a trio, playing instrumentally (aka Trio Bamba) or as a quartet or quintet, with a vocalist.
The Rio Bamba sound is a unique blend of Bossa Nova, Samba, American and Latin Jazz played by world class musicians. The group moves easily from classic and swinging jazz, vocal or instrumental to a Brazilian Samba that brings everyone to the dance floor with it's irresistible rhythms.
Rio Bamba also performs as a instrumental Trio, "Trio Bamba" specializing in American Jazz Standards and a 60 set song collection of Holiday and Christmas songs.

They were WONDERFUL! Perfect for our event. Their music added life to our physician award gala. The peppy, smooth, jazzy and Samba sounds came through crisp and clear on their sound system. They are all very talented; especially the singer. Will definitely hire again.

Chopin Theatre highly recommends Rio Bamba. The main contact, John Garvey, is incredibly responsible, thorough and accommodating. He and the other performers are SUPERB. Our guests were incredibly impressed and showed their appreciation by NEVER leaving the dance floor. We definitely will work with them again. Twas an absolute pleasure.

Rio Bamba is a very talented group. We had our wedding and reception on a boat andythey performed for our ceremony ss well as reception. Their music eas polished and they were very professional and accommodating to our needs. Can say enough about how much ee enjoyed them!
