King Kom Beaux Cajun Band from Belfair, WA

King Kom Beaux (pronounced king kom bo) was formed in 2015 by drummer Billy-The Pocket-Barner. Having won local competitions in 2 previous bands Billy had had formed that represented the South Sound Blues Association at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee in 2010 and again in 2013 and touring the South with those bands, Billy was inspired by the Cajun influenced music he heard while in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Alexandria Louisiana. Billy was equally influenced by the music styling of long time friend guitarist/song writer/singer Doug Kearney. Together, Billy and Doug decided to form a new band to take back to the International Blues Challenge again in 2016. King Kom Beaux is that band. King Kom Beaux was formed, entered the competition again and returned to Memphis in 2016. Here is an excerpt from the King Kom Beaux website: King Kom Beaux (winner of the South Sound Blues Association Back to Beale Street Competition) was joined in Memphis Tennessee by many of our South Sound, Seattle and Washington State friends for the 2016 International Blues Challenge and we all had a ball together. The competition was stiff this year, with 288 of the best Blues Bands from around the world competing. King Kom Beaux advanced as quarter finalists. Besides Cajun style music, King Kom Beaux plays, Blues, Southern Rock, and Old Rock among many other styles. King Kom Beaux is available as a Trio, Quartet or a quintet. This band is party band with Mardi Gras energy that has never failed to please the crowd at any sort of event.
