'A Party Waiting To Happen' best describes this band. The 'Sole City Juke Bands' music has a definite New Orleans "Cajun" influence. Covering Chicago Blues, Cajun Blues, Carefully chosen Classic Rock, Zydeco (party music native to New Orleans and Louisiana), and Motown Soul. This band has, and does play Bars, festivals, colleges, schools, corporate parties, private parties and weddings. Just about anywhere you'll have us. The music is a non-typical mix and has a fresh, danceable, and upbeat feel. We like to maintain an infectious fun atmosphere that caters to all ages. We have something in our arsenal for everybody! It's just a flat out good time.

Soul City Juke Band was great at our wedding. They really know how to read the crowd and get everyone up and moving. The only issue was that right before they went on they informed us they could not play the Father/Daughter first dance song (Sweet Child O' Mine). This was stressful for a moment, but we played the studio version, my Dad and I danced and had a blast and it was all good. They played a couple songs to honor my Grandmother who had recently passed (Oh When the Saints and Gloria) and had everyone at our wedding dancing and celebrating her life and our big day. They also learned a couple new songs we requested, which was great. . Hire SCJB! They rock!
