Blackbird Celtic Band from Woodstock, VT

Rachel Clark and Bob DeMarco are the Vermont duo Blackbird, performing traditional music of Celtic origin and beyond, as well as tunes of their own creation. Fiddle, Irish flute, whistles, accordion, cittern, piano, guitar and voices are combined to serve up a lively musical mix for concerts, special events and farmers' markets. Their albums “Whistle and Sing” and “Good Morning, Good Night” have both received critical acclaim. “Whistle and Sing” was awarded the 2013 Barre Times Argus/Rutland Herald “Traditional Album of the Year” award. Among their many performances Rachel and Bob have appeared at Burlington First Night, New World Festival, Northwoods Stewardship Center, The Music Box in Craftsbury, VT, the Tinmouth Firehouse Music Series, the Ludlow Summer Concert Series, the Stone Church Music Series in Bellows Falls, the Tillotson Center in Colebrook, NH, the Brandon Café Music Series in Brandon, VT, Friends of Music in Wolfboro,NH; countless celebrations, family gatherings, weddings, ceremonies & receptions.
