Planxty Girl Celtic Band from Orlando, FL

Just Twisting Hay, which means making merry mischief without doing harm, is a four piece Irish Band featuring award winning fiddle, guitar, bass, Bouzouki, tenor banjo, and Bodhran. All members sing, solo and harmony. We play traditional instrumentals (Jigs, Reels, Slides, Hornpipes, Polkas, Mazurkas, Waltzes) and sing popular pub tunes (Tell Me Ma, Whiskey In The Jar, Irish Rover, Galway Girl, Fields of Athenry, Rocky Road to Dublin) to name a few. We also throw in some Scottish tunes for good measure. We do weddings, corporate themes, Parties, Festivals, and anything else where the client is looking for some authentic Irish music. We can usually bring a few dancers if needed. We have played for Irish and Scottish Dancers in the past. We are family friendly, and love to get kids of all ages up and moving around. We provide our own sound system if needed. We like to arrive early to set up and make sure the set up is smooth so that we play on time. We can dress up in costume, and have also done other themed events that require Pirates, civil war musicians, and of course Irish folk. Black tie events no problem.
