We are The Bash's #1-rated quartet in the greater Baltimore/Washington area - rated as such monthly, now for 111 months in a row! And The Bash just selected us as the winner of their annual "National Award" in their string quartet category. That now makes 6 years in a row! Thanks to one and all for the great reviews! Experience, talent, commitment, the personal touch - from Nancy and David Shavin. Violin/violin duet, violin/viola duet, string trio (violin/viola/cello) or string quartet (two violins/viola/cello) - we bring to each job decades of experience. Classical, light classical, and popular - you name it, we'll get it done. (Also, we have select musicians who occasionally join us: singers, flutists, etc.) A bit of background: The Leesburg String Quartet has put on the special comemoration concert at the DAR Convention, and, for the last two years, quartet concerts for royalty. We continue to play at many fascinating local venues in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Also, for several years, we've been giving benefit public chamber music concerts here in Leesburg, donating our services. Individually, we've literally decades of experience in various orchestras, including in Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York. We've played at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall and Wolf Trap. And, though this may only impress some of the older set out there (and perhaps scare some of the younger set!), we've performed with the likes of Vicki Carr, Wayne Newton, Bob Hope and Michael Jackson. But string quartets remain our passion.
