Sara Mackey Circus Performer from Poughkeepsie, NY

Sara Mackey is a New York based variety performer, specializing in circus and improv character performances. Sara has always had a passion for performing arts beginning at a young age. She began with acting in a private drama club at the age of 8 and continued with theater performing all throughout grade school. Upon entering high school, Sara decided to start expanding her performance abilities in order to cater to a wider scale of audiences. She continued taking acting classes throughout her high school career specializing in improv, as well as taking voice lessons with vocal coach Deana Soloman for 3 years, with the goals of becoming a princess in a Disney park. After graduating high school Sara took an interest in Hula Hooping from attending music festivals and watching other festival attendees show off their skills. She had begun to self teach herself hula hooping techniques using youtube tutorials until meeting friend, Heather Davies of Small Tribe Hoops. Heather helped Sara perfect her hula hooping skills in an all levels hoop class in which she attended weekly. Hula hooping then opened the next door of pursuing circus arts for her. She began enrolling in classes at Hudson Valley Circus Arts for Aerial Silks. Sara has been continuously training as an aerialist at HVCA for 2 and a half years now with teachers, Mai McNamara and Lana Hentjes. Through attending Hudson Valley Circus Arts she met Brianna Clements (Miss 360) who has just recently began giving her fire eating/hooping lessons. Sara's passion and skills has lead her to create Enchanted Entertainment; her own business providing a broad spectrum of entertainment to any event.
