Doublecrossed is based in the greater Washington D.C. metro area of Bethesda, Maryland We are a Classic Rock band featuring veterans from the music scene from up and down the East coast. We are a four piece band with two guitars, bass and drums.
We feature tight harmonies, excellent guitar work, and a very tight rhythm section. Please take a few moments and give a listen to our audio samples. All of our samples are recorded live at actual gigs so you know just how we sound. You will hear your favorite Classic Rock, Southern Rock and blues based rock tunes done true to form with just enough of our own influences to add a few surprises.

Cliff - Lead Guitar
Cliff Warren has been playing guitar in bands since he was a kid. He took his band "Ludlow" to win the New York State Battle of the Bands, which got the band on the legendary Ted Mack Amateur Hour (a precursor to American Idol) for national exposure and best in category win. Cliff played lead guitar and pedal steel guitar for Vermont based band, the Stompers, and the band shared the stage on the road with such acts as BB King, Marshall Tucker Band, Tom Rush and the Elvin Bishop Band. After moving to Connecticut, Cliff played out front for Willful Misconduct and other bands, to local critical acclaim and packed houses. In Connecticut, Cliff could be found jamming with one of rock's greatest bass men, Harvey Brooks, who recorded with Dylan, the Doors, Steely Dan, and on the landmark recording, "Super Session". He has played regularly at Mohegan Sun Casino and smoky bars in Manhattan and Brooklyn, most recently at the famed Bitter End.
Jay - Rhythm/Lead Guitar - Vocals
Jay Spencer has been playing in bands and solo in the Mid-Atlantic region for over 30 years. Jay got his start on the professional scene playing bass with the Jam band Knocker. Jay has jammed with members of the Wilson Pickett band and done stints as a vocalist for bands such as Aces and Eights. After Knocker, Jay then switched to lead guitar for Legion, a hard edged classic rock band that had great success in the greater Washington D.C. area. After Legion, Jay Was a founding member of the first incarnation of DoubleCrossesd that featured local talent and offered a wider variety of classic rock. When other members of that band decided to move on to other projects, Jay kept his musical ambitions alive and started working with Cliff and then Art to form the DoubleCrossed Band we have today.
Art - Bass - Vocals
Art Fox has had a very prolific musical career. Art has played and toured far and wide with show bands and with the band D.C. Motors. Art has a very wide range of musical talents playing country, funk, hard rock, Motown, etc. Art also currently lends his talent to Motor Driven among others.
Dave Martin - Drums - Vocals
Dave is a seasoned rock n roll veteran. Dave has played Oldies and Jazz and loves his Classic Rock! Dave also Plays with Sean Collins of Sean Collins and the Backbeats.
We can provide a full nights entertainment for your venue or private event. We are also more than happy to share the stage as an opening act.
