Benjamin Tint grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. He started playing music at a young age. Benjamin learned the basics of many different instruments but eventually settled on the guitar in his teens. After a year of lessons, Benjamin started playing with local rock bands.
Soon after, Benjamin got a job teaching guitar at a music store while simultaneously studying the classical guitar. He fell in love with the music of J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Sor, Barrios (among many others) which fueled his passion for the instrument.
Benjamin has been a part of many different ensembles and musical groups, as well as music educated related programs. In 2011, Benjamin was hired as the director for the week long rock camp, DayJamz.
Benjamin graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2015 (BSED) and holds a teaching certification in K-12 Music Education. While at CCSU he studied with Christopher Ladd and performed with the guitar ensemble. Benjamin is currently pursuing a master's degree in classical guitar from the Hartt School. He has had the privilege of taking masterclasses with Scott Tennant, Ekachai Jearakul and Richard Provost.
