Violinist M. Alan Pearce is a Charlottesville, VA based award-winning performer and teacher whose versatility of musical styles range from classical, pop and contemporary, to improvisation and fiddle, to sub-genres, including Klezmer. While performing with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloing, he also focuses on teaching music to the next generation of budding musicians. He provides solo, duet, trio, and quartet services for weddings, holiday parties, and other special events. Alan has performed with orchestras and operas across the United States, including the Aspen Festival Orchestra, Aspen Opera Theater Orchestra, Charlottesville Symphony Orchestra, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke, Opera on the James, West Virginia Symphony, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and Asheville Symphony Orchestra. His career highlights include soloing at The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and internationally in London, UK. He also works as a music consultant—including at The Biltmore Estate in North Carolina. M. Alan Pearce graduated with his Masters of Music from the University of Alabama, under the tutelage of Jubal Fulks and Jenny Gregoire, and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied under Kevin Lawrence.
