We recently hired David to play background music for our wedding reception. He was punctual and set up quickly, and his equipment was appropriate for the venue.
David's playing was excellent; his classical/Spanish pieces were beautiful, as were his interpretations of more modern/popular pieces. Most guests specifically told us how much they enjoyed his playing throughout the night.
There's not much else to be said that hasn't been mentioned in other reviews - I would thoroughly recommend David for anyone seeking a guitar soloist.

David was such a joy to work with. I requested a few songs that were not part of his list, and he was able to not only learn them in the short time he had before the wedding, but his renditions were better than the originals! Both my fiancé and I teared up listening to them. He's obviously a very talented musician and very easy to work with. We had many complements from our guests about his playing as well. David is an excellent artist with great communication skills. He gauged the audience in order to determine how and what to play. When taking a break, which we requested, he made sure his music was being played through the CD system. He was professional, responsive and he used the right sound system for the room. He played on two guitars and everybody loved his music as well as his playing. Since David hadn't played in Laguna Woods Village before, we passed some of his cards to interested parties.

I have enormous difficulty inviting strangers into my home and took a huge chance with David. My worries were unfounded. I hired him to play for my wife's 50th surprise birthday party with 80 guests in our backyard. The process was seamless to hire him and he arrived on time and played continually throughout the night. The guests were "wow'd" by his beautiful guitar playing. It was a perfect night. If you want a professional, personable, and talented guitarist - hire David. You won't be disappointed.

He was great! He arrived an hour before the time guests arrived so he could set up and did not charge me for that. He was very pleasant, nice to the guests and extremely friendly. He has a wide range of music for a variety of ages.

Booked David two days before our event, and things could not have gone smoother from start to finish. He arrived 45 minutes early to set up and played almost continuously for 3 hours with only a short break. Music was ideal for our backyard social event. I could not have asked for anything more from David. From the start, David was prompt in his responses to my (many) emails requesting more information. He even learned a few songs that were not on his list! He arrived early, improvised as needed to fill space throughout our wedding ceremony, and even stayed late through our family photos to keep the mood. David was amazing! From the beginning, he was very professional and accommodating. He reached out promptly and went above and beyond from the start. I wanted nontraditional music and he was extremely helpful in learning a Beach Boys song for us, and even sent us an MP3 to listen to his recording! David was also very helpful because our ceremony venue didn't allow for any electric outlets. David has an awesome battery-powered set-up and even was gracious enough to let us use his wireless microphone for our ceremony vows. Overall, David was a pleasure to work with, very responsive, and incredibly talented. My husband and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
