About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

Heather Hills is a December 2014 graduate of Indiana University, having earned her BM in harp performance with highest distinction. Since then, she has performed at weddings and events throughout the Triangle and beyond. Some of the venues she has performed at include Brier Creek Country Club, the Second Empire, Rose Hill Plantation, Primland Resort, the Mordecai House, Carolina Country Club, and the Leaning Tree, just to name a few. As a classically trained harpist, Heather brings precision and musicality to bear on all the music she plays and enjoys a range of styles including pop music, show tunes, traditional Celtic music, and hymns. She has arranged tunes for events on request and has published two arrangements for harp, "People Will Say We're in Love" and "Ten Minutes Ago," both by Rodgers and Hammerstein. In addition to her experience performing for events, Heather serves as the minister of music at Swift Creek Baptist Church, where she directs the adult and handbell choirs and leads worship on Sunday mornings. She has subbed with the NC symphony and with local university orchestras on major classical pieces like Holst's Planets and Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. She also maintains an active teaching studio and regularly performs full-length classical recitals. Her passion for the harp has taken her from New Jersey to Holland, where she competed in an international harp competition in October 2016. Whether you are looking for a harpist to cover an orchestra part, want to add a unique touch to your wedding, or need a professional to entertain your guests at your special event, Heather's versatility and professional approach make her the perfect choice.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 27, 2023From Greenville, NC

Heather was so sweet to work with and her music was just BEAUTIFUL. She was so accommodating and brought her heavy harp up 15 stairs to our ceremony space on a rainy day. She was able to play anything I requested and it was just perfect for our wedding ceremony!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on May 14, 2023From Pittsboro, NC

What a pleasure it was to have Heather play at our reception. She played the most beautiful pieces and at the very end, even played requested songs. She was a great hit, super talented and sweet and everybody loved her! I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you so much <3

Heather Hills, Harpist:

Thank you so much for your review Jomille! I had a wonderful time playing for your reception. I am so glad you enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed making the music. Best wishes to you in your married life!
