Ken Wright's Classic Country Review Country Singer from New Iberia, LA

When you engage Ken Wright for your event everyone feels as though they have been magically transported back to the golden age of good ol’ Country and Western Music. You, and your event participants, will have a blast as he creates the nostalgic ambience of a real, down home, honky-tonk. Heck, he provides everything except the sawdust on the floor and a couple of guys out in the parking lot brawling over the waitress. He will make your event fun and memorable. Ken Wright, a native Houstonian, is no stranger to the music scene. Over the years he’s jammed with the likes of B. J. Thomas, Roy Head, Waylon Jennings (back before Jessie was in the picture and he had short hair), Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, Fats Domino, and the Killer himself, Jerry Lee Lewis. It ain’t the Grand Old Opry or Branson, but He’ll still be all decked out in his cowboy hat, boots, big ol’ belt buckle, and embroidered western shirt (some even have fringe on the sleeves), and he will make you a wee bit sentimental as he takes you back to the good ol’ days of the 50’ through the 90’s when folks could listen to real country music as they chugalugged a six pack or two. Ken will sing and play his rhythm guitar while his virtual backing band (he lovingly refers to as “The Tombstone Troubadours”) provide everything from background singers, weeping steel guitars, fiddles, lead and bass guitars, all the way up to a full orchestra, making your even the most fun folks have had in years. So, whether you’re the real deal, or you just want to be an Urban Cowboys for the night, you need to tell your fellas, grab your cowboy hat, put on your boots, and get ready to get that big ol’ belt buckle polished.
