They say music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be more therapeutic than this band of doctors. Carey Strom, a Chicago native, was born with a guitar in his hands and a love for Chicago blues music. However, his passion for medicine took him down a completely different path. He met Dr. Michael Duffy, a native of Minneapolis, who played the horn with the passion of the Twin Cities funk rock sound. These two medical musicians combined to start Nightcall. They have played with the likes of Al Jarreau at the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Ball and many other medical charities, including the American Lung Association. Their classic sound and surgical attire make them one of the most unique and desired bands in music today. They believe that music is the ultimate medicine... and would be happy to prove it.
