Helios Band is a northern CA band with highly talented musicians playing a variety of top 40, classic rock and country music. With a combined total of over 75 years of band experience, the Helios band is the perfect fit for your special or community event. You will not be disappointed when you select one of the premiere bands in our area. Our members consist of Don Schiiff, David Esparza, Amy Rose and Todd Frank. The combined experience and talent make us a top band for community, outdoor and special events. Don Schiff Songwriter – received gold for Pat Benatar album “Wide Awake In Dreamland” – co-wrote song: “Cerebral Man” Nia Peebles – self-titled album – co-wrote “With Every Word”. Concert and Sessions musician credits: Eddie Money, Cheryl Crow, Elvis, Ike and Tina Turner, Ann-Margret, Shirley MacLaine, Raquel Welch, Sammy Davis… to name a few. Movie scores: “Live From Death Row” “Family Values” “The Guild” Premier electric bassist, Chapman Stick, NS/Stickbass guitar David Esparza David has over 25 years of playing keyboard and singing in a variety of bands in northern CA. David brings his talents as a band leader as well as an arranger for the Helios band. David has also acted as a band promoter and booking person for his bands. David's enthusiasm and love of music make him a great addition to this team of great musicians. Todd Frank Todd has been playing drums for the past 30 years and has had the opportunity to play with some of the top musicians in the area in recent years. Todd is one of the featured artists on Wednesday at Mankas corner along with some other local prominent musician. Todd brings an excellent sense of timing and rhythm to this band. As they say, Todd is your consummate “in the pocket” drummer. Amy Rose Amy is an excellent lead singer and harmonizer. Amy has played with some top-notch bands in central California over the years. Amy recently moved to the Sacramento area and we are pleased to have her talents and contributions to this great band. Amy is a natural born singer with a beautiful stage presence. Her talents and presentation make it is a pleasure to watch and enjoy. Amy has the ability to capture the essence of sentiments and feelings in her songs and passes it on to her audience. Amy brings enjoyment to all that witness her talents and expertise.
