Hello my name is Javier Muniz. I've been a Bandleader for over 40 years. I've started my own agency to share my music. Currently I have four groups I represent. Broken English, Sweet Spice, Javier y Su Salsa Machin and Samurai Gypsies. The musicians in these ensembles are top of the line professionals. Our performances are always upbeat yet sensitive to the needs of our clients. We can start mellow and bring up the energy when the feeling is right. Working with event coordinators, we deliver memorable performances. We know how to interact with our audiences and make them feel very comfortable. My premiere group is Broken English a 10 piece Caribbean Dance band. I started this group in 1989. Broken English is celebrating 30 years and still going strong. We take our audiences on a musical cruise to Puerto Rico for Salsa, Cuba for Son, Cha Cha, Rumba, Charanga and more. We also go to Dominican republic for Merengue, Jamaica for Reggae, West Indies for Soca, Colombia for Cumbia and Brazil for Samba. Our performances are full of positive energy. We always demand audience participation at our performances. It's not uncommon to bring up dancers to our stage and have a whole lot of fun. We always deliver heart felt good vibrations with our music. Broken English will make your event a memorable one everyone will leave very Happy. Sweet Spice Music Combo plays a mixture of jazz standards & original compositions in Latin, Latin Rock (Santana), R&B, Oldies, Caribbean & Brazilian styles. Whether your event needs background music or an up-front show, Sweet Spice delivers the goods. Our song list consists of hand selected music creatively arranged to establish the perfect mood for your event. The music is always tailored to the event planners needs. We can start mellow and bring it up when the time is right. I'm a seasoned bandleader that knows how to read a crowd. Samurai Gypsies delivers Rumba Flamenco inspired original music. Acoustic guitars, Violin and Percussion lay down the foundation for exotic rhythms that everyone enjoys. Gary the guitarist and Dany the violinist are virtuoso musicians. Their performances are hypnotic, rhythmic and enchanting. They can also play Classical Music for Wedding receptions. Javier y Su Salsa Machin is my latest project. Our sound is full and swinging. We play Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, Merengue and Reggaeton. It consists of 5 musicians yet we sound like a full ensemble with horns and live percussion. I started the group for people who want a smaller group but still sound like a big band sound. Our performances are high energy to get everyone dancing.
