Hipfunk Associates plays a variety of funk, R&B, pop and reggae tunes, from the 70's through the present: music to get down and into. A four piece band (male vocals, guitar, keys, bass and drums), they hail from Brattleboro, Vermont. With many years gigging in the tri-state area, Hipfunk Associates keeps multi-generations partying, as they perform hits from Michael Jackson to Pharrell Williams to Sublime to James Brown, among others. Lead singer Jay's soul and energy brings you enthusiastically to the dance floor, guitarist Evan's solos rip it up from another place, and Scott's bass, Josh's drums and Jay's keyboard are firmly rooted in the groove. With our diverse material, we are happy to cater to any needs you may have regarding genres and setlist. Furthermore, we have performed with additional instrumentalists (trombone, saxophone, trumpet, congas and steel pans) as well as female backup vocalists, if you're hungering for a larger band.
