CHRIS CHARLES DJ from New York City, NY

I started DJing early in life and always had a knack for sound. I still have my Technique 1200's but have gone digital and do not regret it. I continue to perform as if I was using vinyl, smooth transitions and adding sample decks this is what I dreamed of when I started. Coming back to performing I host a Hip Hop show, DJ in between Rock shows at a number of venues, sometimes stage managing and or booking the show and also my love for EDM and its sub-genres House, Techno and Trap. I am involved and kept up with everything I love about music, helping others to perform and continue their musical careers I try different mixing methods every time I introduce a track and find the flow from track to track that sounds right, with the added filters introducing a nostalgia to what is happening right now. In the mix I've blended old school and current bangers ranging from original Wu-Tang to remixes live of the songs you either know or wish you knew ending up in a house music trance. The music that I listen to is constantly growing so it is inevitable that my sound when I spin out is just as dynamic. I have always spent hours searching in record stores for the perfect set or finishing up a mixtape with brand new fire when it's already hot. I listen to all of the latest tracks weekly and dig in the crates off of leads that I find hot or have a buzz about them in the articles. I find soundcloud and youtube to be most helpfull.
