Sincerely, PRH Palo Roy Henderson is the son of late famed musician Marlo Henderson and late famed singer and dancer Patricia Lyn Terry. Palo is a multi instrumental musician from sunny Westwood California. He plays guitar, bass, steel drum, harp, drums, and a few unconventional international instruments from Europe, Asia and South America. Palo started producing professionally in 2007, a few years later he began scoring and composing for short and indie films. In 2011 Palo jumped on the DJ band wagon and still currently spins in Las Vegas and LA private events. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? I'm always open for discussion, just take into consideration location and preparation for my time is all I ask. What is your typical process for working with a new customer? I like to get all the details, then i type up an invoice/contract stating what the client requires from me. I then state that i require a deposit once the contract is signed then we both have a copy and i show up and do my job. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? I started out working for Insomniac (rave company) in 2000 as a promoter, I took what I learned there and began promoting for smaller companies and night clubs throwing my own events. by 2008 I was DJ'n and throwing events with my collective. What types of customers have you worked with? I don't really know how to answer that lol! All human customer types? Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take? I recently Engineered an album that just came out, produced by Michael David Stein, Justin Stein and The Lemba Tribe of Zimbabwe. 'The Lemba Jews of Zimbabwe album" I mix and mastered it as well as contributed additional percussion, guitar. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? 1. Read the contracts before you sign them!!!! 2.Know your genres, I've come across alot of people who didn't know what they were asking for and try to argue with me about things they clearly where not knowledgeable of. 3. Do not ask us to play music off your phone, if you want to do that don't hire a DJ. plus we are not responsible if it is stolen or damaged. 4. Send the DJ a set list if you are very specific of what you want to hear, taking request can be inconvenient for us when you yell at us while were in the middle of transitioning from one song into another What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? I mean everything is pretty much laid out on this site but, I'm a firm believer in it's better to ask too many questions then assume the situation.
