I'm Brandon, the "B" in "DJ B Shaw", and I have worked in the event entertainment industry for over 10 years, having played for hundreds of weddings and corporate events for tons of happy clients and guests. I bring a musician's ear to DJing, making the transitions smooth so the vibe (and the party) doesn't stop. I also MC and am notoriously easy to work with, and love doing whatever I can to make sure your wedding or event goes smoothly. You can expect me to take care of the music, think through the little details, and make sure your guests have the time of their lives. There's a lot that goes into planning a wedding or event, so allow me answer your questions one by one: What music do you play? - Anything you want! We'll have lots of communication beforehand so you can request genres, artists, and songs, and also let me know anything you *don't* want to hear. I'll read the crowd and make sure the next song coming keeps the party going. What is included in your quote? - A Professional Sound System (let me know how many guests you're expecting and I'll bring the appropriate number of speakers. - A Wireless Handheld Mic (this makes speeches much easier) - MC Service (I'll MC the event, making announcements and keeping the night moving) - Dance Floor Lights (2 Wash lights and 2 Lazer FX lights to light the dance floor) - DJ (me) playing music all night and keeping the party going! Can you provide sound equipment for our Wedding Ceremony or Cocktail Hour? - Of course! I can provide a sound system, a wireless lapel mic for the Officiant, and music for Processionals or Cocktail Hour. Let me know if you'll need this and I'll include it in your quote! What equipment do you have? - QSC Speakers and Subwoofers - Shure Wireless Mics - Pioneer DJ Controller - Optional: Turntables (I LOVE DJing with turntables, but space can sometimes be limited. Let me know if you have a preference Are you willing to travel? - Yes absolutely! In your quote, let me know where your event is taking place and I'll make sure and include that in the price. Do you have event insurance? - Yes, covering up to $1 Million Are you comfortable working with a Coordinator? - I'm incredibly flexible and love working with Coordinators to help make your event go off without a hitch. We don't have a Coordinator, is that a problem? - If you don't have a Coordinator, no worries. I'll work with you to help build a good Timeline that keeps the night moving without any "What is supposed to be happening right now?" moments - On the day of, I'll make sure we stick the schedule, reading the room for when it's time to end dinner, get dancing, or give Aunt Liz the cue to wrap it up! What information do you need from me to get a quote? - The date and location of your event - What your event is (Wedding, Party, etc) - How many hours you'll need music - Any additional services needed (Ceremony or Cocktail hour) - Any other questions I haven't already answered!
