We had Bruce for a community event. He came early to make sure he was set up on time. Played perfectly appropriate music the whole time, getting lots to dance! Would recommend him to anyone looking to have music played at their events.

Bruce is a nice guy but he needs to be more lively and smile more. He gives out an impression that he would rather be somewhere & not at the event. I’m not sure if he’s overwhelmed with our culture but he needs to be flexible if this is the kind of field he’s in.

We hired First Dance for my 50th birthday party. They provided karaoke. DJ Todd was great and everything was seamless. The owner was prompt and professional. I can't say enough about Todd, he was great! Very accommodating and patient and just a fun guy! I look forward to the next opportunity to use this company, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. The party was so fun and DJ Todd and First Dance helped to make it a successful, memorable night!

Bruce was great and tried very hard to accommodate our playlist as well as requests from our guests. He was extremely responsive and easy to deal with from start to finish. He had a great setup and was even an hour early in showing up to set up and asked where we wanted him and if his setup looked ok and if there was anything we wanted him to change. And even asked my husband (the guest of honor) a few times throughout the evening if he was happy with everything and if he had any special requests. We’ll definitely use First Dance again!

DJ Bruce Wayne and DJ Todd are guaranteed to give you peace of mind. DJ Bruce Wayne and DJ Bruce were prompt with communication and planning, played all the songs our crowd wanted to dance dance dance to, the music was the right volume and DJ Todd worked flawlessly with our guests. You can’t go wrong with First Dance, you just can’t, I chose them very judiciously over 10 other DJs in the DC/VA/MD area and I’m SO glad I did. Money 100% well spent. Thank you First Dance for making our event a HUGE success.

DJ Bruce was wonderful to work with whole planning our wedding and reception! He made sure that we had al of the song we requested and followed the timeline we created! We booked Bruce for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah and had a great experience from start to finish! He immediately responded to our first inquiry through Bash, provided the best quote (for mics for the ceremony, and music and karaoke for the party), and always responded immediately to emails. We had specific international song requests and Bruce just had us share a list (and links) of our requested songs. On the day of the event, Bruce arrived earlier than requested, was very professional and helped create a wonderful party. All requested songs were played, along with others that he felt worked well for our group. We highly recommend Bruce and would hire him again!

I was assigned a DJ for Karaoke & music. The day of the party I received an email from a different DJ and he required a table which the original DJ was going to supply so I had to give up a table designated for the bar. The DJ (Stan Carpenter) was old and had no energy to bring to the party. He simply sat and played the songs from a play list I provided to Bruce. He got a meal from the buffet (which he was invited to do) but sat at the dining room table w/ his partner along with my guests (tacky!). We ran late for the karaoke, but he never asked if I wanted to begin it or if I wanted him to extend the time. He packed up at 9:45 & left w/o telling me. Very poor.

We agreed to two hours of DJ and One Hour of Karaoke for this Event. Our DJ played the list that was requested. Our DJs were invited to eat by the Host, and never given instruction regarding WHERE she would prefer that they eat the meal that was provided. More importantly, our DJs were INSTRUCTED to shut down and pack up prior to the end time of the Event. We would never ask the Client if they would like us to stay longer if we have been told to Shut Down.

Overall, we had a beautiful wedding. As we requested minimal MC from the DJ, they didn't make or break the day. However, when we had a requested change 2 days prior to the wedding, they did not include the change.

Bruce showed up early & was setup before the party. I really appreciated that he was able to provide his own pop up tent since we needed to be outside. Overall very happy...still trying to figure out how to entertain during COVID so appreciated Bruce being so professional & helpful!
