The Dapper Gents are a Maine based four-piece folk-rock band with killer harmonies and filthy cello solos. Contact us now to hire the versatile duo-quartet for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour or reception. They also tour country playing holiday parties, festivals, and corporate events. The band formed when lead singer, Jacob McCurdy was asked to take his solo act to the upstairs stage at Bull Feeney's. Current members are McCurdy on vocals/guitar, Danny Rand on cello, Stuart Gurley on upright bass, and Chas Lester on drums/vocals. They enjoy putting their own twist pop rock folk from the likes of Mumford and Sons, The Pixies, The Lumineers, and Alabama Shakes. "I can't recommend the Dapper Gents enough! They helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect! They were a joy to work with and took care of everything from music to microphones. The band was amazing and Jake was an excellent emcee throughout the evening. My only worry was how the guests would react to our choice since they have very different musical tastes. Looking back, I don't know why I ever worried. Jacob was both our DJ and announced all speakers and dances. Jacob specifically was extremely helpful, understanding, and flexible which we needed because we were ended up behind schedule. The band took care of the ceremony, dinner, and rocked the house after dinner for us. Our guest's were blown away by there talent same as myself and the bride the first time we watched them play.
