Alice Osborn Acoustic Guitarist from Raleigh, NC

I would love to perform on your stage and help make you fun memories! I am a Raleigh-based singer-songwriter, poet, and educator who grew up in the Washington, D.C. area who naturally gravitates to stories of people who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances. I feel moved to write and sing about them so that their lives and their deeds will not be forgotten. Musically, I’m influenced by pop music, as well as traditional tunes from bluegrass, Celtic/Scottish, and old time. My sets include upbeat covers as well as originals with catchy melodies and clever lyrics. Although acoustic guitar is my main instrument, I also play fiddle, banjo, electric bass, and mandolin. Educated at both Virginia Tech and NC State, I have published four books of poetry and I am currently working on a historical novel set in Northern California after the Gold Rush and before the Civil War.
