Django's Reserve Swing Band from Torrington, CT

Django's Reserve is an all acoustic ensemble that weaves their way from jazz standards of the 20's 30's and 40's up to the present with tasty harmonies and original arrangements. The full line up comes armed with European style guitars popularized by the iconic Django Reinhardt, upright bass, violin and a wonderful vocalist. This accomplished group creates a sound that mixes infectious swing rhythms with world and contemporary music. The core of the repertoire comes from jazz standards and "gypsy jazz" standards that are played in the style of gypsy jazz (jazz manouche). A very common sentiment from guests is that they didn't realize jazz could be so much fun! Django's Reserve is equally at home leading a crowd to revel and dance as they are creating the perfect background mood for a cocktail party. The group is available as an instrumental duo, trio, quartet or quintet or in different arrangements with a vocalist.
